Program Description:
This Yoga Training is open to students of all levels. The 220-hour certification program (180 hours of classroom instruction) exceeds the Yoga Alliance requirements and graduates earn the title of Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®.
By teaching Kundalini Yoga you link in to the Golden Chain, the subtle connection between you and Yogi Bhajan and the legacy of teachers which goes back in time to the sacred source of the teachings of Kundalini Yoga. You’ll learn:
- How to use postures (asanas), meditation, exercises (kriyas), sound (mantra) and breath (pranayam) to
awaken your mind and train your body - How to deal with stress, the yogic approach to healing and relaxation techniques through the study of Humanology
- Yogic history and philosophy
- Introduction to yogic foods and dietary awareness
- Yogic & Western anatomy
- How to develop a meditative mind for clarity and calmness
- How to use mantra and sacred sound
- How to develop a curriculum and lead a yoga class or series of classes
- How to create a daily yoga practice (sadhana)
This certification program is open both to yoga students ready to become teachers and those who wish to immerse themselves in the science of Kundalini Yoga.

Program Requirements/Homework:
In class time 180 hours of instruction covering the following topics:
- The Roots of Kundalini Yoga and the History of Yoga
- Awakening the Consciousness – Kriyas, Postures (Asana), Breath, Sound and Mantra, Relaxation, Meditation and the Mind
- The Role of a Yoga Teacher
- Yogic Philosophy
- Yogic Anatomy and Western Anatomy
- Humanology and Yogic Lifestyle
- Practicums
Homework – 40 hours
- Write a curriculum for each of the following:
- 1.A 10 week beginners course covering all the basics. Each class 1.5 hours long
- 2.A 5 week course at a sports club, prison, school or other facility. Each class 1 hour long.
- Practice a 40 group or individual sadhana of a specific yoga set or meditation; journal your experience
- Attend a White Tantric Course in Millis (or else where), March 6th – $75
- Participate in 5 group Sadhana classes
- Participate in 20 other Kundalini Yoga Classes outside of the program
Our Instructors
Gurudass Kaur is a heart centered, long-time yogini and musician. After living in Spain where she taught yoga and inspired a community of yogis for 20 years, she moved back to the United States. She teaches Kundalini Yoga teacher training as well as Childplay Yoga teacher training all over the world. Most recently, she presided over the Peace Prayer Day in New Mexico, inspiring nearly 2,000 participants.
Other Trainers: Guruatma S. Khalsa, Kathy Clark, Kaye P. Khalsa, and Dr. Sham Rang – Emergency room physician and long time yogi, he will teach the anatomy section.
Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga and Mahan Tantric (Master of White Tantric Yoga), arrived in the U.S. in 1969 with one purpose,
“I have come to create teachers, not to gather disciples.”
For more than 30 years he traveled internationally teaching Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness.
Through the years he has trained thousands of KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructors and Trainers. In 1994, the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) was formed to further spread these priceless yogic and lifestyle teachings through the united efforts of Kundalini Yoga teachers worldwide.
